Child Safety Policy

Effective Date: July 10, 2026

You Know Me (YKM) is committed to protecting the safety and wellbeing of all users, particularly children. We enforce a zero-tolerance policy against child exploitation, abuse, and any content that endangers minors.

Prohibited Content & Conduct

YKM strictly prohibits the following activities and content across our application and website, applying to all users regardless of age:

  • Exploitation & Abuse: Any content that sexually exploits or abuses minors, including Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (CSAE) in any form.
  • Predatory Behavior: Content facilitating or encouraging child grooming, predatory messaging, trafficking, sextortion, or targeting minors.
  • Harmful Contact: Using YKM to establish contact with minors for offline exploitation or illicit purposes.

CRITICAL: Violations will result in immediate deletion of content, permanent termination of the associated user accounts, IP/device bans, and immediate reports to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and appropriate law enforcement agencies.

Platform Design Protections

To prevent the dissemination of illicit visual content and protect minor users, YKM incorporates key security choices directly into our platform architecture:

1. Text-Only Responder Environment

Responders answering quizzes on our web interface cannot upload photos, videos, or files. Limiting web responses to choice selection and plain text eliminates the main transmission vectors for CSAM/CSAE files.

Reporting Protocols & Legal Compliance

We comply with all applicable child safety laws, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and federal mandatory reporting requirements under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A.
